National Practical Shooting Association

History of NPŠA

Home is always a difficult ...

in September 1994, the city of Plzen (Czech Republic) for the first time had to take part in practical shooting competitions. This was the first acquaintance with this development of sport. IPSC Regional Director Karim Benamane and previously former sounds kulkinio shooting master Colonel Gustav Zinc stocks kindly invited us to come to the Czech Republic.

These people gave us an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with it and to promote practical šaudymu in Lithuania. These people come to Lithuania the first practical shooting seminar organized. We pamatėme a completely new methodology for the management of both weapon and immediately pabandėme adapt it to police activities. So changed the old militia šaudymą from 25 feet drum position.

Participation in international practical shooting events has broadened the dating circle. Czech Republic susipažinome with the head of the International Centre for situacinio shooting Jean-Yves Lefeuvre. Saint Astier, France, located in the centre of the town helped establish definitively held exercises in the professional approach to the management of the weapon.

Although initially made a sunkokai, but now we believe that you have picked the right way, it has proven to achieve results.

Practical shooting has become not only the safety of law enforcement institutions and the vocational training structures, but the improvement of the management of civilian persons, weapon and tool and an excellent leisure way. Currently Lithuania is actively involved in practical shooting athletes in international competitions and achieves good results. Although the registration of the statutes of the NPŠA in 1998, until now because of the weapons and ammunition control law provisions limiting weapons of calibre and power, it was not possible to attract to our ranks more persons with guns for self-defence. But time is running out, people become active. Us surpassed our pupils. Changing the approach to the management of sophisticated weapons laws-everything is improving. Sounds great for controlling the weapon to the public is safer than people persons, having the weapon, but keep it to the safe-deposit box.
